Terminate

The association year runs from August 1 of each year to July 31 of the following year. A cancellation must be received by the member secretary on of before May 1 of that season. This goes for all members, junior and senior.

Cancellation must be made electronically at the member secretariat. Cancellation cannot be done through someone else (such as a coach, trainer or technical manager).

Mention the team and the reason for cancellation when canceling. You will receive a confirmation of the cancellation. Without this confirmation, the cancellation has not reached the member secretariat and is not valid.

It is not possible to cancel conditionally. Not sure if you can play hockey at AMVJ next season? Well before the cancellation date, please email [email protected] (juniors) or [email protected] (seniors) to discuss this.

Too late?

If you cancel too late, you are bound to pay the membership fee for the upcoming season.

If termination is made too late as a result of force majeure, the board may decide that the membership will end after all, possibly against payment of a surrender amount. Force majeure can only be regarded as an acute, objective, personal circumstance that arose in the period between the latest cancellation date and the end of the association year. Switching to another association or moving house does not qualify as force majeure.

Refund Policy

HC AMVJ regularly receives a request for a refund of membership fee because a member is unable to play for part of the season due to injury, pregnancy, relocation or otherwise. As of the 2018-2019 season, the club no longer has a refund scheme.

Trial membership mini's

To lower the barrier to membership of HC AMVJ for the very youngest (4-5 years), mini's are trial members. Mini's sign up for a block of 10 training sessions and are therefore not yet full members of HC AMVJ. Membership continues automatically; if you don't want to continue, you must let us know before December 1 (autumn lessons) or July 1 (spring lessons).

From the benjamins (6 years before 1 October) you are a permanent member and the official rules apply to cancellation and payment of membership fees.
