Matches and the match schedule
Here you will find information about the match days, the annual calendar and the winter break. Below you will find the competition schedule.
matchdays
Juniors always play on Saturday, seniors always play on Sunday. The first match can start at 8.15 am and the last one can start at 5.45 pm.
Of course it's nice to visit Ladies 1 and Gentlemen 1 on Sunday! Ladies 1 always plays at 12.45 pm and Men 1 always plays at 2.45 pm.

The field competition is from September to November and March to June.
For the youth, the competition (generally) consists of 3 parts: the pre-competition (5 matches), the intermediate competition (5 matches) and the spring competition (10 matches). For the seniors there are 2 parts: an autumn competition (10 games) and a spring competition (10 games).
After each competition, the groups are reclassified and the team is placed higher, lower or in the same group. In this way, the KNHB ensures that every team is in an appropriate group.
winter break
Winter break is in December, January and February.
At AMVJ there is the possibility to play indoor hockey for all juniors (under-9 and older) and for seniors. The U8, U9 and U10 can opt for midwinter hockey.
